Dress Code for Children of God


But the Father said to his servants, “Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. (Luke 15:22)

Put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. (Romans 13:14)

All of you who were baptized into Christ Jesus have clothed yourself with Christ. (Galatians 3:27)

Lay aside the old self, be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self. (Ephesians 4:22-24, Colossians 3: 9, 10)

As those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, bearing with one another, forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. And beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. (Colossians 3:12-14)

All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. (1 Peter 5:5)

The night is almost gone, and the day is at hand. Let us therefore lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of Light. (Romans 13:12)

Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. (Ephesians 4:11)

Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly (1 Timothy 2.9)

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. (1 Corinthians 15:54)
